75 State St.

This high rise in the financial district of Boston, Massachusetts was designed by architect Gund Arch. It stands 31 stories rising to a height of 390 ft. All machinery for this project was custom designed. Since there was an existing track system, a custom carriage was created to conform to the track. The track section raises and lowers to hide the machine. A Fixed Length Boom was designed to reduce weight and allow wind to pass through the arm. All equipment was brought through the building to eliminate the need for a helicopter or crane.
